Party On: ‘Wayne’s World’ celebrates 25th anniversary by returning to theaters this week

Here’s a totally amazing excellent discovery — Wayne’s World is back in the theaters.

The legendary Saturday Night Live spin-off film starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey turns 25 years old this month, and to celebrate, is returning to more than 800 big screens across the country. The film shows at a dozen Massachusetts theaters this week, including two here in Boston: Tuesday (February 7) at Regal Fenway Stadium 13 on Brookline Avenue, and Wednesday (February 8) at AMC Loews Boston Common 19 on Tremont Street. Show times for both are 7 p.m.

Wayne’s World also screens at Bay State theaters in Bellingham, Hadley, Hanover, Hingham, Kingston, Marlborough, Methuen, Taunton, Westborough, and West Springfield. Get the full listing and show times via the map at waynesworld25.com.

For those who are curious, please note that there are several Wayne’s World screenings in Wisconsin, but inexplicably, none scheduled for Mill-e-wah-que.
