Halloween 2016: Five shows in Providence this weekend to get on that rock and roll scare

Over the next few days in Providence, the city's music venues will be having a few tricks in store along with a handful of treats. With Halloween happening this Monday, there will be a series of parties happening throughout the Creative Capital to ring in All Hallow's Eve. There will be a variety of things to experience including local bands performing as their rock and roll heroes, festivals taking place at different locations and extravaganzas where costumes are the recommended choice of attire. Candy will be at the bar and drinks will be slung, perhaps a rejoicing of the season will be taking place as well. To get you in the mood, here are five Halloween-themed shows that'll be taking place in Providence over the next few days.

October 31: Halloween Free Mondays at Aurora

Wolfstuff Presents always hold it down with rad shows all over Providence and every Monday Jacob Wolf and company curate Free Mondays at Aurora. The Halloween edition of the weekly event is another covers show featuring garage punks Hot Tramps doing The Stooges, the psych-rock moniker of Mike DeCosta, Tapestries. doing The Kinks and Steve DelMonico from the Quahogs doing Jim Croce. There will be special guests joining the acts on stage throughout night as well for what should be a special evening. Aurora has a great cocktail menu so expect some Halloween themed libations. There’s also no cover at the door.
