Editor’s Note: We’re running out of things to say about Newport Folk Festival. Luckily for us, we have the images that convey the emotion, passion, and full-frontal awesomeness that transpired over the weekend at Fort Adams State Park in Rhode Island. Vanyaland’s Matthew Shelter was on-hand for all three days of folk n’ revelry, capturing the vibe of Friday and Saturday and the bands that provided the soundtrack. Yesterday (Sunday) was no different, as standout performances from The Oh Hellos, Glen Hansard, Middle Brother, and Alabama Shakes dominated the third and final afternoon and evening. Take in visuals from those bands and artists, as well as shots of Elvis Costello and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, below, and stay tuned for additional closing coverage straight from Newport Folk.
