Don’t Put In The Work: Rihanna warns fans about texting and playing Pokémon GO at her concerts

Rihanna’s ongoing “Anti” world tour rolled into Boston’s TD Garden back in April, and luckily for us, it was before the Pokémon GO craze took over the city. The pop singer is currently in Europe, and recently told a crowd in France that no one was allowed to lay the augmented reality game during her performance at Lille’s Grand Stade.

“I don’t want to see you texting your boyfriends or your girlfriends,” the 28-year-old pop star demanded from the stage. “I don’t want to see you catching any Pokémons up in this bitch.”

This public service announcement could have stemmed from a reported incident at a recent Beyoncé gig in Paris, where last week a fan was caught playing Pokémon GO from the front row. Or she may have seen Slipknot’s Corey Taylor slap a phone out of a fan’s hand for allegedly texting during the Iowa metal band’s performance.

Either way, Queen RiRi demands your full attention. Her “Anti” tour continues in Prague on Tuesday night.
