The mighty Caspian are heading out on one last North American tour in support of last year’s stunning album Dust and Disquiet. The Massachusetts post-rock band announced all 22 of their fall dates this week, and the run includes a November 18 show at Royale in Boston, the second-to-last show of the tour.
Joining them on this tour will be Kansas indie veterans the Appleseed Cast; it’s a pairing that the band reveal is quite personal to them. Caspian writes:
“We are hitting the road this October / November for one final North American headline tour in support of Dust and Disquiet, with sole support from the one and only, The Appleseed Cast.
Quick story: We actually decided to start our band after Cal [Joss, guitarist] gave Phil [Jamieson, guitarist] a copy of one of their records back in 2003. That record changed the way we listen to music and we set out on putting a band together. Here we are now still, many years later. To circle back and have the opportunity to share the road with them for the first time is more than a privilege, it is a deep honor for us. Hard to explain… We’ve never been more excited about a single pairing in the eleven year history of Caspian, and if you make it out to one of these shows, you are going to have one of the best nights of your entire life. We promise. Expect new music from both bands before this kicks off on October 22 in DC as well. Brand new setlist, even more lights, new merch, we are going in hard for this tour.”
Tickets to all shows go on sale this Friday at noon, but pre-sales for several of the dates (password: password) listed below have went live earlier today. Hit the link for more info, and listen to Dust and Disquiet below via Bandcamp.
