Call Your DJ: Robyn announces special remix set planned for Boston Calling

We’ve been long anticipating the mega-dance party Robyn will no doubt bring to City Hall Plaza tonight for her headlining set at Boston Calling. This morning, we learned that most of her performance will get the remix treatment.

Call your DJ.

The Swedish pop star announced that her upcoming string of U.S. festival appearances will feature a remixed set of her popular hits. She’ll be playing those mixes, including tracks from Cassius, The Black Madonna, and Axel Boman, starting tonight.

“Remixes make me listen to a song in a different way; they stretch you out as a listener and leave space for other things that a pop song usually doesn’t,” Robyn says in a statement. “I hope to be able to share this experience with my audiences at Governor’s Ball, Boston Calling, and Field Trip over the next week and just dancing together…”

Remixes from her live show will be released after the festivals.

It’s important to note that the remix set below is not Robyn’s entire set, but it’s a bit of a bummer that we won’t be getting the classic versions of hits like “Hang With Me” and “Dancing On My Own.”

Robyn U.S. Festival Remixes + Tracks:
Axel Boman -“Hang With Me”
Cassius – “Dancing On My Own”
Harry “Choo Choo” Romero – “Love Kills”

The Black Madonna – “Indestructible”
