Autumn in New England is always a bit darker, a bit colder, and a bit more mechanical than elsewhere around the country. This year, autumn officially begins on September 17, when Cold Cave and TR/ST play the Middle East in Cambridge.
The former, Wes Eisold’s electronic pop project, is hitting the road with the latter, the dark-dancing beat machine from Robert Alfons, for seven cross-country dates that arrive just as summer’s sheen wears off. The thought of hearing Cold Cave’s “Love Comes Close” and TR/ST’s “Sulk” in the same evening from the same stage is enough to give us the autumnal shivers, and we are, inexplicably, already looking past summer in anticipation of this.
We’re told tickets go on sale Friday. Check out the full run of dates below. And start thinking in black.
