This feels like a bit of a surprise, but a good one — Echo & the Bunnymen have announced a September and October tour of North America.
The veteran English rock band, who released their latest record Meteorites back in 2014, kick off their run here in Boston at the House of Blues on September 8, and wrap October 18 at Atlanta’s Variety Theatre. According to the Bunnymen’s Facebook page, which just relayed the news, tickets to all shows go on sale this Friday.
Echo & the Bunnymen, featuring longtime members Ian McCulloch and Will Sergeant, will also perform at a handful of European festival this summer. The rest of the current touring lineup features Gordy Goudie (guitar), Stephen Brannan (bass), Jez Wing (keyboards), and Nick Kilroe (drums).
