While we impatiently await Tove Lo’s follow-up to 2014 breakout album Queen of the Clouds, the Swedish electro-pop singer and songwriter has been a collaboration machine. Following up recent twirls with Years And Years and Lucas Nord, today the alt-pop queen born Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson has released another un-duet, this time with Nick Jonas.
“Close”, which you can watch below via Vimeo, is from Jonas’ upcoming LP Last Year Was Complicated, due June 10. It’s pretty steamy.
Says Tove Lo about working with the former Jonas Bro: “What an honor to be part of my crazy talented friend Nick Jonas’ new single #Close! Loved working with Nick and director Tim Erem on the video, a great & inspiring process to portray powerful chemistry between two people as a magnetic force field. Thank you Nick for making my first time doing choreography on wet concrete so easy! We were both covered in mud, bruised, and bleeding by the end of the shoot. It was awesome.”
