After months of planning and preparation, Austin is finally on the horizon.
Our third-annual South-By-Southwest "Boston & Beyond" party with Berklee College of Music (Berklee's 11th event at SXSW) goes down Thursday, March 17 at noon (local time) at Brush Square Park, located next to the Austin Convention Center. If you're at SXSW or heading down very soon, all you need to do to party with us is RSVP here. The party is all ages and open to SXSW badge holders.
If you're staying here in New England, keep it locked to Vanyaland and you won't miss a thing. We'll be broadcasting all of the performances via VanyaRadio, and updating audio and visuals from Brush Square Park all afternoon. You'll be tasting the Lone Star and tableside guac from the Iron Cactus fresh on your lips.
The "Boston & Beyond" party is co-presented by Berklee Alumni, The Red Room @ Cafe 939, and Heavy Rotation Records. Below is the lineup, with individual profiles on each performing band available via our slider.

Lady Pills, 2:30 p.m. set time
The first of two SXSW selections by Berklee’s student-run label Heavy Rotation Records, Lady Pills play and sing the songs you want to play and sing when you’re counted out, underestimated, and pretty much tired of all the bullshit. The Boston-based lo-fi guitar-pop trio first caught attention around town with last summer’s more folky Limerence EP, but hit a more urgent stride in November with a demo release whose song titles nicely summarized the sentiments of our broken 20s: “Dream World”, “Make Out” and “I Hate You”.
Playing what they call “sad music that you can dance to,” Lady Pills have shared local stages with everyone from St. Nothing to Horse Jumper Of Love to Black Beach (and soon, Grey Season on April 6). This year at SXSW, they leave no dry eye in the house and prove that guitars have roared back in 2016, sharing a bill with the likes of Ian and Great Grandpa that makes for pretty much the best Allston show you’re probably too old for since that last one the other night.
