March On: New Order reveal first batch of U.S. dates for ‘Music Complete’ tour

Electronic-pop legends New Order have announced a handful of stateside shows next month, in what the band promises are the “first” batch of North American dates to promote last year’s Music Complete LP. Unfortunately, there are only six shows so far, and none in New England; the closest date to us in Boston is a March 10 kickoff at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

Rolling Stone suggests more dates will be announced soon, and ticket information for the March dates can be had here.

In addition to their trip across the Atlantic, New Order have also revealed Music Complete’s latest single, “Singularity‬”, and it arrives with both an extended mix (listen below) and a website dedicated to their impact on music and pop culture. Titled Singularity: The Influence of New Order, the site hosts essays, artwork, covers, playlists and more from artists like Mat Osman of Suede, Cold Cave, and Robert Smith of the Cure. It’s also seeking contributions from fans, stating: “…now you are invited to create something that shows how New Order have influenced YOU. All creative formats are welcome. The top 5 most interesting contributions received will be featured on the Singularity website permanently. Anyone wishing to enter should email their contribution to neworder@mute.com before the closing date – 11 March 2016.”

No, your Power, Corruption and Lies chest piece probably won’t make the cut.
