When it comes to Steven Tyler, the Aerosmith frontman really doesn’t want to miss a thing.
On Saturday, Tyler and daughter Mia casually crashed CNN’s live broadcast from New York, which was reporting on the blizzard that dumped a foot of snow on the city. True to form, the native New Englander was eager to give out advice on how to stay warm, safe, and occupied during the winter weather.
“Stay home. Two words: hot chocolate… [and] family hugs,” Tyler tells CNN’s Poppy Harlow.
Tyler was in the city visiting his grandson Milo, as well as to promote his new single, “Red, White & You”. He’s expected to be a guest of The Howard Stern Show today, and appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday. But during the Saturday storm, it was all about chilling with the family, mugging for the camera, and getting some unexpected promotion for his latest country music single.
“I’m gonna hunker down,” the singer says of his weekend plans. “I’ve got a funny feeling the storm’s gonna keep us here a couple extra days… but Monday I’m doing Howard Stern… no matter how much [snow we get].”
Mia says the snow reminded her of growing up with her dad in New Hampshire.
“We grew up playing in the snow and doing snow angels and snow things because he’s a big kid so the minute I got up here I was like let’s go play,” Mia adds.
