Just in time for the holidays — it’s a massive North American tour announcement from Adele.
The record-making, record-breaking singer has announced her 2016 North American tour, and it comes to Boston over two nights, September 14 and 15. Tickets go on sale this Thursday at 10 a.m.
Also included in the tour are six shows apiece at Madison Square Garden in New York City and Los Angeles’ Staples Center. Those are a lot of seats to fill, but Adele seems up to the task: her third album, 25, dropped November 20 and it shot straight to Number 1 in more than 100 countries. It sold more than three million copies in just one week here in the United States, making it the only album to do so. 25 has held steady as the Number 1 album in the U.S. for three consecutive weeks since its release, and you can’t really go more than six minutes without hearing monster first single “Hello” on any FM pop station.
