Forty Six and 2016: Tool announce January tour with Primus and 3Teeth

Tool recently promised to ring in 2016 with some live dates, and today, we have out first look at the rock band’s upcoming tour.

“Those faint glimpses of TOOL SHOWS that I recently perceived in the scrying mirror can now be considered official,” reads a statement on the band’s website. “Indeed, something wicked your way comes…THE UNPARALLELED SONIC AND VISUAL EXPERIENCE OF TOOL LIVE.”

Unfortunately, we only have the first eight dates in the tour, which starts January 9 in San Diego and wraps January 26 in Charlotte. Other stops include San Antonio, Nashville, and Atlanta. There’s no Boston date just yet, nor is there a stop at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire, where the band always seems to play.

“The impenetrable veil of my dark scrying mirror FINALLY CLEARED today — enough so, in fact — that I could perceive a large heptagram on a complexly lit stage where four performers were dwarfed by dramatic video projections,” the band stated earlier in November on their Facebook page.

Joining Tool on the January jaunt are Primus and industrial revivalists 3Teeth.
