Times Like Tease: Foo Fighters launch mysterious countdown clock on website

Under the cover of night — or maybe during the previous day when no one noticed — the Foo Fighters launched a new website featuring a mysterious clock counting down to November 23.

The countdown has led to rampant online speculation on just what will be revealed next month, with guesses ranging from a new Foo album to the second season of Sonic Highways, to uhhh, maybe that’s the date Dave Grohl finally gets his cast removed.

The new site wrap doesn’t offer many clues, just a Foo Fighters emblem logo with the running ticker underneath, and some sort of ceramic creature to its left. The Foo Fighters logo does appear to be encased in a Route 66 highway sign, leading many to believe this is all Sonic Highways related. The HBO music documentary series won two Emmys, and Grohl has said in the past it will return for a second season.

Or maybe Grohl and the boys are announcing they’ll be performing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Have a look, and start freaking out.
