Teen Day: Billie Joe Armstrong’s 16-year-old son Jakob Danger signs to Burger Records

Burger Records has announced it has signed Jakob Danger, the project of 16-year-old Jakob Armstrong, youngest song of Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and younger brother of Swmrs‘ Joey Armstrong.

That’s quite a bloodline, and the talent shows in a series of new-ish songs Jakob Danger has posted to YouTube. Burger Records, home to FIDLAR, King Tuff, Thee Oh Sees and countless others, will release his debut cassette at an undisclosed time. Swmrs is also signed to Burger.

Check out “Don’t Try,” which has a bit of a Strokes-y, So So Glos-ish vibe, and “King Of The World,” a really excellent tune that sound like a mix of early Green Day and the Lemonheads, below (more Jakob Danger tracks can be heard here).

And peep Burger’s message to the people after the YouTube jump.
