When Krill announced their breakup last week, tributes started immediately pouring in and attention quickly shifted to the Massachusetts rock trio’s pair of farewell shows: October 15 at Great Scott in Allston, and October 23 at Silent Barn in Brooklyn. The local show up here in the Hub sold out F.A.S.T.; so fast in fact that a second, earlier show has been added to that night’s tearful goodbye on the corner of Harvard and Comm.
Tickets to the second Great Scott show go on sale today at noon. Don’t hesitate. Doors are at 6:30 p.m., it’s an 18-plus affair, and $7 gets you in. This new show at Great Scott will be the band’s 22nd at the Allston venue, which might be a record (previously held by You Can Be A Wesley or Earthquake Party, we think).
And Krill are asking that anyone who already got tickets to the later show hold off on doubling up so everyone can have a chance to say goodbye. Here’s their message to the Krill faithful:
hey! We are adding a second Boston show at Great Scott on October 15!
Tickets will go on sale online tomorrow around noon.
Please don’t immediately buy a ticket to the early show if you have one to the later show that night! It just sucks cuz not everyone who wanted to say bye got a chance so we added another show.
It’ll be earlier, 7 pm or so, same day, October 15, 18+. Special guests on both shows.
NOTE: if you got a ticket for 10/15 already it is for the later show. Ticketmaster will ask you if you want a refund DO NOT DO THE REFUND, your ticket will be valid for the later show, don’t worry.
