We’ve been excited for the long-awaited Disclosure and Lorde collaboration for some time now, and in advance of the UK dance duo’s new album Caracal, which drops Friday, we finally have the goods.
The track is called “Magnets,” it just dropped this afternoon, and it’s a squeaky, chill-af electronic pop jam that both keeps Disclosure moving forward and gives us some new Lorde material to hold us over while the follow-up to 2013 breakout record Pure Heroine is crafted in a lab somewhere.
Though the new Disclosure record features several collaborations, Howard Lawrence told Rolling Stone earlier this year that their effort with Lorde is “the most equal collaboration on the record.” The chemistry was no doubt apparent when the trio performed together at the 2014 BRIT Awards, serving up a one-two punch of “Royals” and “White Noise.”
