Boston’s Party Bois have been a reoccurring force in our playlists this year, from constant spins on VanyaRadio to frequently providing a dance party soundtrack in our office hours. Hell, we even work out to “Being In U” every now and then at Boston Sports Club in Allston while we flex ourselves out in the mirror. This week, the Bois turn their own attention to a “Reoccurring Girl” in their latest single, another ode to chill af ’80s r&b and freestyle that this time comes accompanied with a music video.
To feel the Bois, you have to hear them. To understand the Bois, you must see them.
Directed by Matt Relstab and Pica Films at community space and rehearsal complex Studio 52, Party Bois’ “The Reoccurring Girl” finds our hero frontman J-Boi caught in a love battle in the middle of a dance party, which is something we all can relate to. There’s even a Paul Foley cameo.
Hopefully the singer will have a little bit better luck with the ladies when Party Bois bring their dance-pop craze to WonderBar on October 9, playing the Eldridge Rodriguez record release party for The Castrati Menace alongside Boston rock quartet Skyjelly.
Peep the video for “The Reoccurring Girl” below, and get back into the groove.
