The start of September marks the beginning of the fall festival season, and while we love the summertime (Dirty Bangs even wrote a song about it), few things compare to a night of cider, music, beer, and some hardcore scarf-wearing.
All four of those should be in full effect by the time September 18 rolls around, when The Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown hosts Arts & Drafts, an outdoor party that brings together visual arts, live music, and craft breweries. Relevant to our interests here under the pink neon V is the live music lineup, and it features three luminaries of the local circuit: rock and soul dynamo Gold Blood & the Associates, rock troubadours Dirty Bangs (who play Boston Calling Music Festival the following weekend), and lively fiddle-pop crew Nemes.
On the thirst tip, Downeast Cider House and Aeronaut Brewing Company will be showcased, and part of the $30 admission ticket includes a beverage token and, according to a press release, a “commemorative t-shirt that participants can tie-dye on-site.”
“We’re excited to have one last celebration of summer here at the Arsenal Center,” says ACA Program Director Beverly Snow. “Arts & Drafts should be an excellent evening for Watertown, filled with great bands, great beverages and an arts project for everyone.”
Check a preview of the sounds via each band’s Bandcamp below, and more info is listed on the flyer after the embeds.
