Well, U2 never made it over to the Burren Monday night, but they didn’t leave town without showing Somerville some love. This morning the Irish rock band capped off four blowout shows at TD Garden with a breakfast of champions: Some fine selections from Union Square Donuts.

The band posted the following photo to their official Instagram page this morning, with the caption, u2Edge breakfast #U2ieTour.
According to Boston Eater — who beat us all to the headline pun-ch with “the Sweetest Thing…” — it looks like the Edge had a quality meal, snacking on “an assortment of maple bacon, Boston cream pie, birthday cake, and more.”
