Courtney Barnett’s Best Summer Ever is starting to spill into autumn.
The acclaimed Australian musician, who is set to perform at Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago and Newport Folk Fest in Rhode Island later this month, has now added to massive dates to her fall calendar: the Hollywood Bowl and Madison Square Garden.
That’s when Barnett will be supporting Blur for the reunited Britpop legends’ only two North American shows, October 20 in Los Angeles and October 23 in New York City. Let’s hope Barnett doesn’t have to help carry Damon Albarn off the stage.
Meanwhile, around the globe, Barnett’s breakout single “Pedestrian At Best” was named the Number 1 song of 2015 (so far) by both SPIN and Rolling Stone, and her debut album Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit continues to garner rave reviews. She performed the track recently on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, and you can watch that performance here.
