The girl’s a ‘Timebomb’: Tove Lo drops new video, announces ‘Queen of the Clouds’ tour

We still haven’t gotten over Tove Lo’s revealing performance at Boston Calling last month, so we’re very happy to learn the Swedish pop star is coming back to our hood later this year.

Tove Lo today dropped the new video for “Timebomb,” and along with it came news of her 16-date North American “Queen of the Clouds” tour — which includes an October 14 show at Royale in Boston. It then plays Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel in Providence two days later.

How do you say “road trip” in Swedish?

The “Timebomb” video was directed by Emil Nava, and is billed as “an emotional explosion of love, passion, and pain, illustrated by an array of couples set against the stark beauty of a desolate beach.” Says Tove Lo, via Twitter: “Love doesn’t always last but it shouldn’t be because people around you won’t let it.”

The clip has its own companion website, weareatimebomb.com, which is inspired by Chatroulette (remember that shit?). Fans can watch the video alongside complete strangers, and we’re told Tove Lo will be checking in on occasion as well.

The “Queen of the Clouds” kicks off September 28 at North Park Theatre in San Diego and wraps October 21 at New York City’s Terminal 5. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday via tove-lo.com and Ticketmaster.
