Round up the family and huddle around the computer and smart phone screens, because it’s that time of year again: The Gathering of the Juggalos 2015 infomercial is here.
This year’s promotional video for the July 22 to July 25 Gathering at Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio, has a futuristic theme, and clocks in at just more than 20 minutes. Sugar Slam and crew are stuck in the year 3092, and are trying to time travel back to 2015 to show just how dope this year’s Gathering will be. Naturally, they fuck up and go too far back into the past, interacting with dinosaurs and shit like a hatchet man Jurassic World, but soon right the ship and spread the good word of the party in present day Ohio.
Of course, the Gathering ain’t shit without its performers. On tap to throw down the rhyme and time at this year’s Gathering are Waka Flocka Flame, Flosstradamus, Puddle of Mudd, Kottonmouth Kings, Ill Nino, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, Mushroomhead, and of course, Insane Clown Posse themselves.
There’s also a lot of clown-faced hip-hop, dated nu-metal, bands and MCs who say “fuck” a lot, and one rapper who says he “can’t beat his dick without getting convicted.” That’s real right there.
