Gone Metal: Enrique Iglesias slices fingers on drone, finishes show with blood heart drawn on chest

Enrique Iglesias has been known to take your breath away. Now he knows that a rouge drone could take away his fingers.

The Latin pop crooner was performing in Tijuana last night when he reached for a drone — used to take photos of the audience — and sliced his fingers open in a bloody display live on stage. According to posts on social media, and a statement made to the Associated Press by the singer’s representative, Iglesias grabbed the drone during his show at Plaza de Toros de Playas and, in front of 12,000 people, suffered gnarly lacerations to his fingers.

The incident caused the need for medical treatment at the side of the stage. As Stereogum reports, Iglesias was advised to end his show at that moment, but the singer continued for another 30 minutes or so and even drew a heart on his white t-shirt in blood.

We repeat: He drew a heart on his white t-shirt in his own blood.

He can be our hero, baby.

After the show, he received more medical assistance at a nearby airport, then flew to Los Angeles to see a specialist.
