Yesterday Vanyaland posted a snippet of its interview with David Lovering and Joey Santaigo of the Pixies, in which the band discussed playing T.T. The Bear’s Place in Cambridge back in the day.
Today we’re rolling out the full Q&A, which went down around 9 p.m. Sunday night at Boston Calling, literally minutes before they took the stage at City Hall Plaza and reminded 20,000 people why they are one of the most important bands to ever emerge from Massachusetts.
Michael Marotta asked them about playing for their hometown, the best spots to eat while on tour, and the desire to bring new music into a catalogue that’s constantly running on a full-tank of nostalgia.
