Editor’s Note: While Beck’s Friday night performance at Boston Calling turned City Hall Plaza into the most intimate big-ticket outdoor festival ever, Saturday’s Day 2 slate brought on the full-fledged summer festival vibes. My Morning Jacket presided over City Hall like true mayors of American rock and roll, while St. Vincent cast a spell on 20,000 adoring faces. Marina & the Diamonds, MØ, and Tove Lo brought a much-needed electronic pop bounce, and Run The Jewels threw down one of the 10 liveliest Boston Calling sets ever. There was more. So, as always, Vanyaland’s Eddy Leiva was in the trenches capturing the sights on an inspiring spring day of music.
