Come Christmas morning, those who swing that way will wake up and make a mad dash for the stash of presents under the tree. But any sensible family will tackle the stockings first, and open the smaller (but still righteous) gifts left by Santa and other family members, before diving headfirst into the big-ass stuff (read: what we really want).
That’s how we’re looking at today’s news from Carl Barât and The Jackals, who announced a North American tour early next year that arrives at Brighton Music Hall on March 28. Yes, we all want a proper Libertines tour in 2015, and with the recent news of that new Libs album, we just might get it.
But Carl Barât and The Jackals is a nice stocking-stuffer treat, something to use to get re-acquainted with the British musician. And with the release of debut album Let It Reign on February 17, we at least know one Libertine will help us get the year started right.
Check out the full run of Jackals dates below, as well as the band’s first single, the jerky-jerky rock jam “Glory Days” — which sounds a bit like that Old Spice jingle from earlier this year — after the listings. Download the song via the Jackals’ homepage.
