A few hours after several St. Louis Rams players walked out into the Edward Jones Dome field yesterday sporting a “Hands Up Don’t Shoot” pose, Youth Code screamer Sara Taylor was possibly making a similar statement on what’s been going on in Ferguson over the past week.
The singer of the Los Angeles industrial duo rocked a SHOT BY COPS shirt during the band’s too-short 20-minute set at the House of Blues last night, opening for Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly, and Haujobb on the Eye Vs Spy tour. Youth Code’s set was brash and abrasive, taking elements of traditional industrial and EBM (from Rabies-era Skinny Puppy to the energetic live spectacle of Nitzer Ebb) and giving it a nice youthful kick in the ass, so we’re thinking the choice of attire wasn’t a coincidence.
The garment was another reminder that what’s going on in Missouri is a country-wide issue, for all Americans, and one that isn’t going away anytime soon.
Youth Code singer rocking a SHOT BY COPS shirt @HOBBoston. Best 20 minute set we've seen all year. #industrial pic.twitter.com/be92JDN0WP

Here’s another closer look; apologies for the crappy iPhone images. We should have hired Eddy Photograph to take pictures at the gig.
At the show last night, Youth Code closed with the burning “Consuming Guilt,” one of the best tracks of 2014. Check out the recorded version below…
