Amanda Palmer is called many thing. We can now add “New York Times Best Selling Author” to the list.
The musician, writer, performer, and many other things that end in “-er” revealed this afternoon via social media that her book The Art Of Asking: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Let People Help has debuted at Number 7 on the New York Times Best Seller list. Palmer’s ongoing book tour reaches the Wonder Ballroom in Portland, Oregon, tonight.
“i am now a New York Fucking Times bestselling author,” the former Dresden Doll tweeted. “number 7 with a bullet, baby. THANK YOU EVERYONE SO SO MUCH FOR GETTING THE BOOK!!!” Fourteen minutes later she added: “got the call. New York Times. bestseller list. #7. crying. thank you. thank you. thank you. thank you…..”
Palmer’s husband, writer Neil Gaiman, also chimed in:
