Before Nas closed out Boston Calling Music Festival Sunday night with a headlining set that saw the rapper team up with the Roots and perform iconic 1994 album Illmatic, he had some other business involving City Hall.
Nas met up with Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh Sunday afternoon, as well as “the young ladies learning tech from the M.I.T ‘I Know I Can’ program.” Check out both photos below.
It wasn’t the first time a Boston mayor got involved with a Boston Calling act, however, as last year former city boss Tom Menino took to the stage to introduce indie band local natives.
We’ll see if Walsh introduces Nas after the Replacements are done.
