It’s been a good 2014 for Kiesza.
First the singer took over YouTube with her music video for “Hideaway” that’s racked up 85 million views — and counting. Then she danced in the streets of New York for David Letterman, and covered Nirvana for the NME.
And now, for her latest trick, the sudden pop sensation had covered Haddaway’s 1993 dance classic “What Is Love,” and returns to her former home base of Boston for a live show October 1 at Royale.
The recent Berklee College of Music graduate has been slowly rolling out dates for her upcoming North American tour, and Boston is among a just-announced an East Coast cluster that also finds her at Washington’s U Street Music Hall on September 29 and Philadelphia’s Theatre of Living Arts on September 30.
Peep the flyer from Bowery Boston below, as well as Kiesza’s latest cover and a video for recent single “Giant In My Head,” which features cameos from some of the dudes in Gentlemen Hall.
Game on.
