There’s been more than a few odd collaborations between rock singers and EDM producers recently — Sebastian Bach with Dada Life and Goo Goo Dolls’ Johnny Rzeznik with Cash Cash immediately come to mind.
But something involving Serj Tankian, singer for Los Angeles-based genre-pushing metal band System of a Down, just seems natural.
A few weeks ago there was a report that Tankian was working on a collaboration with EDM superstar AVICII, but this clip released this week by Ultra is much more enticing. It features a preview of “Shooting Helicopters,” Tankian’s upcoming collab with Italian producer Benny Benassi, who is perhaps best know for his club anthem “Satisfaction.”
It sounds pretty good…
