Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill sure could have “Use(d) Somebody” after their show at the XFinity Center in Mansfield Saturday night — like a doctor, especially.
Followill broke his ribs after the tour bus he was riding on stopped suddenly to avoid a pedestrian, according to CNN. The report doesn’t specify where the incident happened, but the band posted on Facebook yesterday that they were headed toward a hotel after the show, which took place roughly 35 miles south of Boston.
“The band was en route to their hotel after their show in Boston when a pedestrian jumped in front of their tour bus, causing the bus to stop short, injuring Nathan Followill,” the band wrote on Facebook. “Nathan is being treated for broken ribs, but is doing well.”
Followill’s condition forced the cancellation of last night’s Kings of Leon show in Saratoga Springs and there is word the rest of the Mechanical Bull tour is in jeopardy. Kings of Leon have roughly 30 dates remaining over the next two months or so, as well as an appearance on The Tonight Show tomorrow (Tuesday) evening.
Hopefully Followill gets better soon. The Kings were riding high after just escaping a St. Louis gig without getting shit on by the local pigeons, and now this happens.
Stay tuned for updates.

Followill was in good spirits right after the Mansfield gig, tweeting out…
Boston, best crowd of the tour. Gonna be tough to beat. Thanks for the love. Can't wait to come back.
