Last week we hooked up with the pRIMORDIAL sOUNDS dudes in premiering the excellent new video and track from CreaturoS, “Short Shorts.” Turns out, the creative Cambridge crew is still on our minds as they team up with Rad Castle tonight at ZuZu in Cambridge for the homecoming of one of our favorite bands, Bozmo.
Bozmo ringleader Bo Moore is back from the West Coast, and he’s coming armed with (probably) dozens of copies of the new Bozmo cassette, Leather Umbrella. We touched on it a bit back in April when it was released, but we think this is Bozmo’s first Boston gig since then. When the guitar-rock band rules Boston basements, they not only featured the many talents of Moore, he formerly of Wonderful Spells, but also members of Pretty & Nice and Earthquake Party. It was some real DIY supergroup shit.
In addition to Bozmo, tonight’s bill is highlighted by a sure-to-be-sweaty performance from ’60s groove parade the Fagettes, and a new-ish group called Beach Toys, featuring members of pretty much everyone that’s been mentioned already. It’s a good way to spend a Monday.
