Damon Albarn is so hot right now. The Blur singer and Gorillaz renaissance man has countered a wave of Britpop nostalgia and last week’s 20th anniversary of Parklife with his well-received debut solo record, Everyday Robots.
To celebrate tomorrow’s record release, we just got word that Albarn will be performing at Royale in Boston on June 9. He’s in the States that month for an appearance at Governors Ball in New York on June 6 and will make his way down to Tennessee for Bonnaroo on June 14. Damon will also headline New York’s Irving Plaza in between, with added stops in Baltimore, Raleigh and Atlanta.
Hit up damonalbarnmusic.com for VIP ticket information and other updates, but the Royale show goes on sale Friday through Bowery Boston.
