From a certain point of view, January 26 was a rough night for Josh Homme. The Grammys offered up two defeats in two different shapes that night in Los Angeles, as first his Queens of the Stone Age lost to Imagine Dragons in Best Rock Performance (QOTSA “My God Is The Sun” was nominated) then their live performance with Nine Inch Nails, Dave Grohl, and others was abruptly cut off by producers during the television broadcast. The latter caused Trent Reznor to go on the offensive.
On Sunday, at a QOTSA gig in Houston, Homme finally lashed out as well. According to the NME, he “introduced their track ‘I Appear Missing’ by joking ‘This next song is by Imagine Dragons’ and, when the crowd heckled, he added: ‘Fuck everything. Fuck the man. Fuck Imagine Dragons and fuck the Grammys.’
Yeah, man.
