Dream Dance Party: Is this the most tasteless depiction of Martin Luther King Jr. of all time?

When Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famed “I Have A Dream” speech on August 28, 1963, we’re pretty sure this is not what he had in mind.

This Friday’s Dream Dance Party at Machine in Boston looks to be a good time, and the Boylston Street nightclub is definitely one of the more culture-forward rooms around town. But there’s something about ol’ MLK’s face sublimated in a disco ball looking down over a fit twink in skivvies that’s weirding us out a bit.

Dude kind of looks like Brian Kinney from Queer As Folk, so he at least has that going from him. And we’re sure he has dreams, too.

Martin Luther King Jr Day is Monday, January 20.
