[dropcap]P[/dropcap]roducer extraordinaire Stuart Price has been ahead of the dance music game since his ‘90s days as Les Rythmes Digitales, when he skillfully seduced suburban mall-working alt-rock kids who were properly excited by the first Daft Punk record (or maybe that was just me). Now under another of his aliases, Jacques Lu Cont, he’s teamed up with fellow British producer Alex Metric for “Safe With You,” raising the pop stakes tenfold by enlisting Niki & The Dove frontwoman Malin Dahlström to add a female touch to their pulsating electro burner. According to the Guardian, the track was first unveiled as a dub remix on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show last month, but the original bolsters a sweet melancholic longing and human emotion that only Dahlström could provide. This is the track that’s playing in the club when you’ve found the boy or girl you’d like to take home. Except they’re there with someone else.
