That secret Disclosure show happening Wednesday, August 7, finally has a venue, and it’s a pretty good non-traditional concert space — the Cyclorama Building at the Boston Center for the Arts at 539 Tremont St. in the South End.
Doors are at 9:30pm with DJ Kidnap Kid, and Disclosure goes on at 11pm.
Last month, MTV Iggy and Intel Present launched The Music Experiment in New York City, featuring a live performance streamed online by Empire Of The Sun. Boston now gets round two of this series, which will eventually reach Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Nashville, and our showing features chart-topping British electronic duo Disclosure.
For Wednesday event, the Cyclorama will be “blacked out,” and fans will be asked to dress in dark colors and given face paint to glow as if they were in one of the dance-pop duo’s videos.
The only way to get tickets, as well as VIP passes and backstage access, is to win them via “daily challenges” at musicexperiment.com.
The Boston gig’s theme is “White Noise,” playing nicely off Disclosure’s single. “[It’s] creating an immersive visual experience that fits into the duo’s album aesthetic,” reads the press release. “The entire venue will be blacked out and fans will be encouraged to arrive dressed in all black with the chance to paint their faces with white glowing paint, just like in the iconic Disclosure album and video motifs.”
