Get ready for two Black Light Dinner Party posts in as many days. Yesterday we posted the teaser trailer for upcoming record Sons And Lovers (which featured the album’s closing title track), while warning that new music would surface as early as today. Well, hot damn, hump day gets some much needed pop sizzle as the Brooklyn quartet unleashes their latest gem, “I Was Right.”
It’s a neon electrician box of synths, a summer anthem led by driving bass, and another sparkling turn from one of our favorite bands who can seemingly do no wrong.
It’s also the first single off Sons And Lovers, which we now have a release date for: September 24.
Listen to the track below, pair it with a nice, cooling Thai ice tea, and don’t forget that BLDP perform at next month’s KahBang Music & Arts Festival in Bangor, Maine alongside Lights, Mean Creek, St. Lucia, Earl Sweatshirt and dozens of others. We’ll be giving away weekend passes and camping tickets to Kahbang in a few weeks, probably around August 1, so stay tuned…
