The music of POLAROIDS, the one-time bedroom project of Tim Oxton since fleshed out into a full live band, is a hazy bout of ennui-pop that could be surf-rock if there were actual intentions of getting up off the sand and into the water. Choosing the touch of the sun over the crash of the waves is an underlying current in Polaroids drifting lo-fi pop, and as such is the perfect band to take up to Newburyport for the online launch broadcast of Vanyaland.
It all goes down Wednesday, May 15 at 3pm EST, when Polaroids are joined by Lowell rock and roll upstarts Western Education for a live performance and launch party at Newburyport Brewing Company, streamed live here on Vanyaland by the fine folks at MediaBossTV.
You need not travel up to Newburyport for all this racket, you can hang with us from the comfort of your computer.
