Tyler the Creator, X, and the Black Angels were scheduled to perform Wednesday night at the Mohawk as part of a House of Vans party.
Tonight is the first night of the music portion of SXSW, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the Texas capital. Many of the streets around the 6th Street are closed off to vehicle traffic to allow for the overflow of music fans.
The area around the Mohawk is currently closed off and is being treated as a crime scene, according to witnesses.
