One of our favorite parts of Miley Cyrus’ 2013 album Bangerz was her spitting out the name of the record over and over on her collaboration with Britney Spears, appropriately titled, “SMS (Bangerz).” We’re not sure why hearing Cyrus say that word over and over was so appealing, but the delivery is having the same effect on her new track with Pharrell, “Come Get It Bae.”
Cyrus yells a repetitive “Hey!” and provides other vocals on the track, which is on Pharrell’s recently-unveiled album G I R L. The duo have a long history together, including production treatment on Cyrus’ “4×4″ and “Get It Right.”
Cyrus’ cameo here bridges twang and funk, and together they ask the burning question: “You wanna ride it, my motorcycle?”
Because surf boards are so 2013.
