Freak ‘Nasty’: Listen to the Prodigy return with their first new single since 2009

The Prodigy are back in action, just in time for their breakout hit “Firestarter” to turn 20-years-old next year. The UK’s pioneering electronic trio just dropped a new single, “Nasty,” and it’s a brash little electronic number with a jungle beat and a bit of “Breathe” in it

“Nasty” is the first cut off new album The Day Is My Enemy, out March 30. It’s the first new material from the big-beat rave crew since 2009’s Invaders Must Die, and features guest spots from Sleaford Mods and Flux Pavilion, among others.

The Prodigy have described it as “the meanest record we’ve ever made,” so get ready to shave the middle part of your head and hang out in the sewers like we all did back in 1996.

Tongue piercings are optional, mate.

According to Mixmag, the Prodigy have also announced a 10-date springtime tour of the UK, and you can check those dates after the video jump. Hopefully Keith Flint and the boys return to North America later in the year.
