Those two Foo Fighters shows at Fenway Park next summer just added a whole lot more Boston.
It was announced this afternoon that the Mighty Mighty Bosstones will play the Foo’s July 18 show with Mission of Burma, while Dropkick Murphys have been added for the July 19 date with the UK’s Royal Blood.
The news was just revealed by the @LiveNationNE twitter account. Shortly after, the Foo Fighters’ Facebook account chimed in with the news, as well, with a simple and effective message: “…It’s gonna get loud.”
Tickets to both shows go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m., and of course, our sister site Do617 already has ticket giveaways for each date.
Two of the biggest acts to come out of Boston over the past few decades, the Bosstones and Dropkicks are no stranger to Fenway Park — together they played the Bleacher Theatre configuration in 2011.
