After a week of getting Rick Rolled and spoon-fed fake fan-made teasers, we finally have the real trailer to J.J. Abrams’ new Star Wars film, The Force Awakens. And as expected, Episode VII uses 82-year-old composer and conductor John Williams’ classic score to beautiful effects.
We got chills once the Millennium Falcon roars over head at the minute mark, with Williams’ work blaring out of our smart phones.
Yes, that’s new John Williams score in #TheForceAwakens teaser.

The trailer for the seventh Star Wars film, which is out December 18, 2015, premiered this morning via iTunes. It was believed all week that we’d have to go to the theaters today to watch the 88 second clip, but yesterday Disney announced it would go straight to online at 10:15 a.m. this morning. It would have been on the internet about .7 seconds after showing in theaters, anyway.
The J.J. Abrams film stars and original trilogy cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher as well as a host of new faces, including John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver (is that him with that t-bone Sith lightsaber whaaaaaa?), Lupita Nyong’o, Oscar Isaac (Standard Gabriel from Drive!), Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Andy Serkis, and Gwendoline Christie.
The trailer gives some clues away, but not much. Good to see Tatooine (probably?), those X-Wing fighters, and the ol’ Falcon back in action.
Yup — it looks awesome, and authentic to the original trilogy.
