It’s been nearly a year since the NME dubbed Public Access T.V. the “hottest band in New York” after a few early demos surfaced online. The boys have been slowly living up to that tag throughout the year, and may have earned it with the release of this year’s snazzy guitar-rock bopper, “In The Mirror.”
Public Access T.V. have DNA from bands like Be Your Own Pet and the Virgins running through their musical veins, but here take on a T.Rex and Strokes-y vibe good for chewing bubblegum and feelin’ pretty fucking alright.
They take that posi rock ‘tude to Great Scott this Tuesday, October 21 for a show with Circa Waves, and it’s the sweet spot of a New York modern rock hat trick for October in Allston after Skaters played Brighton Music Hall last week and Drowners return to Great Scott on October 29.
