We first heard Ruby Rose Fox’s breathtaking new single “Die Pretty” a few weeks ago, and we still can’t get it out of our heads. Now, the Boston Music Awards-nominated singer-guitarist is taking it to Cambridge, kicking off a three-month residency at Atwood’s Tavern tomorrow night (October 16).
Ruby will be joined by OldJack for tomorrow night’s opening festivities, and future guests include Tigerman WOAH (November 6) and Eddie Japan (December 18).
Ruby Rose Fox will be a guest herself on October 31, when she’ll join the Daily Pravda for a song or two during the band’s cover set as Lana Del Rey for our first ever Halloween show at Great Scott, extending the tradition set by indie dance night the pill over the past decade (the show will be hosted by Goddamn Glenn of Parlour Bells and also feature Vary Lumar as Smashing Pumpkins and Pale Hands as Robyn).
To help us get appropriately primed for the residency, the lady Fox and her crew have released a fast-action promo video, which introduces her all-female band. Meanwhile, Ruby is up for two BMAs this year, in the Singer-Songwriter of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year categories.
Vote with passion.
