Rivers Cuomo is getting back to his crimson roots.
At a time of year when several bands around Boston will be playing Weezer cover sets for Halloween, the actual band itself will be playing a one-off club show October 26 at the Sinclair in Cambridge’s Harvard Square. The rock club is, of course, a stone’s throw from where Cuomo went to college on and off from 1995 to 2006.
The band will be performing their new studio record, Everything Will Be Alright in the End, and tickets priced at $65 each go on sale Saturday at noon via Ticketmaster and Bowery Boston. The Sinclair has a capacity of 525, so no doubt this will sell out fast, leaving the rest of everyone to catch that Weezer cover set by a local band at another club later that week.
Oh, and the Ric Ocasek-producd Everything Will Be Alright in the End is out October 7 via Republic.
